Instructor Profile: Claudia Giannecchini

Claudia Giannecchini is a Capoeirista and former gymnast from Brazil. Known in the Capoeira world as "Catatau," she began her studies in Brazil under Mestre Fran of the Grupo Maculelê, she has also trained with some of the world's best Mestres in both Capoeira Regional and Capoeira Angola, including:

Explaining her Gymnastics
background, Claudia says:

"I started in 1988 and quit in 1994. Geisel Campos was my coach at Associacao Londrinense de Ginastica Artistica in Londrina, and I participated of trainings in Curitiba (PR) with some of the coaches of the national team nowadays, I don't remember their real names but they were known as Tony , Lucelia. I represented the City of Londrina for States Championships and won first place on Uneven Bars in 1991."
