"Guerreiro. You, you are going to be grande
mandingueiro*. You have something, You know the game... You see
others and you listen
this brings good things out of them...
You pay attention and take care not to hurt the students and approach
them at their level
You have humility. That is the best way
to lead. This is the way I like to teach. You are like me."
- Mestre Alfredo
Capoeira Batuque

*A mandingueiro, is good, experienced, wise
player. Someone not only knows how to move and kick, but to fake
and draw someone in. A good mandingueiro "plays" another's
game.. and beats them at it.
