In our school, the Phase 6 Certificate is referred to as the "Sage Award for Contributions made through the Positive Use of Martial Arts." This is a particularly important accomplishment and is not attained easily. It may be realized in a number of ways, as each contribution will be different. Below is a list of examples of how this can be realized, but the students are encouraged to use their imaginations, and devise a contribution that is unique to their experiences, skills and resources.

The written assignments and requirements for the Phase Six Certificate are oriented on helping the student learn what manner of a difference they can make through their contribution, as well as how to make their ideas a reality.
