Take these lights.
Take down the lights
this city abhors the night.In a clamor of surfeit
we have lost the beauty of the night
The quiet time
the lonely together time
Time for dreams and sleep
time for prayers and holding tight.The power of the night
holding captive the sun
yet gently - quiet respite
Now the hunters seek during the day
and skittish, we run from task to task
meet the standard
meet the deadline
the goal
ever forward to make
our parents proud
else the end comes
and we lose our potential.Take these damn lights
