Video Gallery (Clips
will open in a new window)
After
many, many requests, we have finally added video to the website,
which will be updated monthly and will include classroom and seminar
footage, training methods, interviews, etc.
Please
keep in mind, we have limited resources for capturing and processing
video footage, these clips have been condensed for the internet
and fast downloading. The footage consists of progressive downloadable
Quicktime files, which will stream in a size according to your internet
connection, optimized for both 56k and ISDN/Broadband connections.
Brazilian Jiujitsu Class
The
following clips capture some of the technical portions of our BJJ
class. Lately, we've been working our stand-up game, Jason has been
introducing new concepts and skills from Judo to our advanced and
intermediate students. In the future we plan to put up clips of
our other training formats including Pass the Guard, Open Rolling,
Positional Sparring, Ego-less Play, Around the World, and Stand-up.

Kali Class
The
following clips are from a recent class in which students are developing
their trapping skills with a drill that we refer to generally as
Punyol Sumbrada. This is actually a blend of training methods from
both Kali and Doce Pares Eskrima.

next clip is from a different class, in which students are wokring
on response patterns to specific attacks. This is a training method
known as Abecedario.

Clip 5
This
next one is a longer clip that includes footage of our stickfighters
training for an upcoming seminar. It has been over a year since
some of these students have competed, so they are relaly just shaking
the rust loose. At this point in training, the focus has more to
do with footwork, movement, ring savvy, and defensive trapping than
it does with contact, the contact you see is very light, and very
controlled (hence little armor). Warning! - Don't try this at home.

Wednesday Workshops
Our
Wednesday Workshops have been very popular. For two hours each week
we work on one segment of the curriculum, rotating topics every
four to six weeks.
